Hi all, just wondering does anyone know if their 2022-2023 Outlander CVT transmission filler cap comes with the dipstick?
Mine is just a plastic cover but no actual dipstick?! See below photos

The CVT fluid filler cap has a dipstick slot actually!

It is odd that it comes with the CVT transmission fluid filler cap but no actual dipstick to measure the oil level.

Thank you very much in advance!

Is there a way to check the level with a prior year that had a dipstick? I don’t know of any CVT trans that even has one at all TBH.
I have a 05 and 08 Saab 9-5. The 05 has one, not the 08. So I use the dipstick from 05, take the “now plug version”off the fill port on 08, and check that way. The only thing missing is the actual tube.

Dipstick has been deleted for this model
Yes, that's pretty much what the AD told me today. It appears that Mitsubishi wants you to bring in the vehicle if you wish to check the CVT fluid level and charge you a service fee for it.
He also mention this 2022 year onwards Outlander has almost identical engine compartment layout as the Nissan Rogue / X-Trail. So perhaps they share the same dipstick configuration?
