Recently my wife said she pulled to a stop sign and everything shut down, went black and the motor turned off! Has anyone else had this happen? I had another incident where the self drive cut out and I had to stop and re start. Before I restarted the engine missed and the AC was getting warm.

Ours has been sputtering a lot lately when coming to a stop. Then when accelerating it has gotten stuck in a limp mode I’m guessing and won’t go above 25mph. It’s pretty obvious they rushed these out and quality control was not a forethought for this.

Are you in us or Canada? I only had the one event when my wife was driving and one when I was, nothing since. I love the car, great on long drives, set the steering assist. I hear they are offering good replacements on some, waiting on my next service.

USA. I have owned several new Mitsubishis over the last decade, none have had issues like this one.

This is unfortunate. I also experienced the cant get past 25 to 30 kmh. Im glad someone else has experienced it. Happened once. Ive also brought it to dealership have it looked at. Fpund nothing. However the fuel pump recall is happening this month ( here in nb canada). Ive waiting to get mine replaced as mine was affected. I love the vehicle completely minus this one issue. Fuel related or cold weather seems to kick the hell out of it. Im hoping this fixes it. I had the eclipse cross 2018 before this btw, i really loved that car. 0 issues and rhe turbo did wonders.
There is a known issue with the EGR system, that a software update will fix. The update is not available here in AU yet, not sure about other markets.

A software issue is also about to fixed by another update to A/C system, but i have no info on what the fault is.

Oh really? This is news to me, do you have any info links for this. I tried searching it. This is annoying as i am experiencing alot of issues of failing fuel pump , as well as i guess this egr system fail. How do you update this?
No. There are no links to any information on the net. This is currrently still in testing.

Updates will be via your dealer
