2023 PHEV Electric Range Report - Ideal Conditions / FL

I was looking for this information before going with the Outlander PHEV, so I thought I would share for anyone else considering this vehicle.

New 2023 Outlander PHEV SEL after first full charge, running in ideal conditions (Florida = completely flat, 80F external temperature, air con ON set to 75F drivers seat only, no additional passengers or load).

Completed a 39 mile commute plus 7 miles of the return trip on EV only = 46 miles total electric range [15 miles on suburban roads at 30 - 50mph and 31 miles on interstate highway at 65mph]. On the suburban parts of the drive I am getting 2.7mi/kWh.

This exceeded my expectation and the EPA electric range by 8 miles. Very pleased. Seems like the 2023 Outlander got screwed on the EPA range compared with some other vehicles, from this perspective.

ya something fishy going on at the EPA i think . seems the ratings they give BEVS are high as real world most cant get that rating in ideal conditions . however , at least based on this vehicle and the rav 4 prime , the PHEVS get a low rating . owners of these get the rated mileage here in Canada during the winter . during the summer it is easily exceeded .

cant understand why .

It must be the "woke mob of unelected bureaucrats" trying to screw PHEVs because they have an IC engine :ROFLMAO:
