23 SEL - changed interior dome lights to LED and now they won't turn on when the door opens

Hi I upgraded the (4) 194 bulbs in the dome lights and now they won't come on when the doors open. They function normally by pressing the buttons but not with the door. Checked the fuses and they're good. Any ideas?

Are the LED bulbs in the right way round? They are sensitive to polarity.

If switching them round does nothing, try putting the originals back in and see if its all ok.

A lot of cars do not like LED bulbs in the system, unless it has been designed for it.

Yes all 4 are in correctly and function when I press the all lights on and each individual button but the only thing it doesn't do is turn on the lights when the doors open. It did for the first few days and then randomly stopped. My only guess is the system isn't detecting enough current and might think the bulbs are burnt out. I'm going to swap in new standard 194's non-led and see what happens.
I solved this issue by reinstalling the original filament style bulbs and unplugged the battery (negative cable) for 15 minutes. Once I plugged it back in, the lights came on normally. I'm thinking that some type of control module was in a stuck state and read the doors as closed at all times. Hope this helps they next person. If recommend using the Silverstar 194's as my experience with 3 different types of LEDs didn't work out.
