Thanks for the info. I checked mine yesterday at 2300 miles, looked normal. I drive in EV at least 85% of the time.
Maybe the Mitsubishi tech was color blind, i.e., I didn't see it and was only going by what he told me that it had condensation in it and to run the engine more often (he asked me if I ran mostly in EV mode, so the oil color must have triggered that thought process). Who knows, maybe Mitusubishin doesn't want us running in pure EV mode most of the time? One question I did have, given how little gas we're using, but haven't asked them yet, is whether or not it's wise to put some fuel stabiliser in the tank, even though the PHEV is supposed to cycle the ICE on every few months?Hello - The yellow tint is the oil itself meaning it was clean. My 23's oil is yellow like any other new car would be.
If it had water the oil would be white in color and more sludgy.
