Is the Honda CR-V a better SUV than the Mitsubishi Outlander?

Important comparison points to consider:

"The CR-V has a much larger cargo volume with its rear seat up than the Outlander with its rear seat folded and middle seat up (39.2 vs. 34.2 cubic feet). The CR-V has a much larger cargo volume with its rear seat folded than the Outlander with all its rear seats folded (75.8 vs. 63.3 cubic feet)"

Honda CR-V
  • "The 2019 Honda CR-V rewards owners with fantastic utility and great safety scores. "
  • "In the mid-sized SUV world the X-Trail is known for being super practical, the Mazda CX-5 for its looks and the way it drives, and now the new CR-V slides into the gap between them. Great value, practical and good to drive, the sweet spot in the range is absolutely the VTi-S; well equipped, with the option of AWD. Keep your eyes peeled though for when Honda updates the base grades with advanced safety kit. We'll let you know when it does. "
Mitsubishi Outlander
  • "The 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander is a solid option outside of the usual crossover SUV choices but is often forgotten for a reason."
  • "Like most Mitsubishi models, the base model has all the good stuff of the top-of-the-range, although I'd skip the ES and go for the ES ADAS. For all the extra cash, you don't really get that much more in the Exceed because there's not much in Mitsubishi's grab bag. There's almost nothing to commend the Exceed over the LS. As a city car, the PHEV is quite good as long as you don't ask too much of it. The electric range is useful for school runs or shortish commutes (if you can park near a power point) and when you're flat, the engine sorts you out. Like the rest of the Outlander range, it's honest transport and not much else. The PHEV, though, proves that when Mitsubishi puts its mind to something, it can turn out quite alright."
