I cannot get my climate control timer to work. I set the parameters on the infotainment screen, save and everything seems ok. The dash says climate control timer on. However it never comes on. I have tried everything I can think of including calling the dealership but nothing works. I can use the Mitsu app to start the cabin warming but the schedule option works just like settings on the info screen. Any ideas?

I have not received my 2023 phev next week hopefully fingers crossed... but i have seen many reviews... is it possible you are not connected to a level 2 charger? I believe the pre condition may be reliant on pulling from a 240v outlet.

Thanks for the reply. I have not heard or read any reference needing a 240 charger to make the timer work. However, it does jive with my dealer who has got the timer to work at the dealership with a 240 charger plugged in.

I just checked in the Smartphone-Link Display Audio (SDA) manual in section 4 about timers for Charging and Climate control and it does not stipulate connected voltage. No mention of voltage at all.

it would be interesting to see if your timer works on battery only. Did you have the dealer try using the 120 connection?

I have used my 120v connection a few times to start the heater before driving - works well.

Good to know. I asked my salesman at the dealership to test with a 110v and w/o any plug in yesterday. Waiting to find out what happens.

Interestingly (actually, annoyingly), I noticed that when I pre-heat (starting from the phone app), the car isn't actually pulling any power from the L2 charger. (My other car, a BEV, definitely starts drawing power from the house as soon as pre-heat is started on it, but not the Outlander...) This is annoying because when you drive away, you've already used a good chunk of charge (10% -ish) from the 10min pre-heat, even though it was plugged in! A design quirk of the Outlander PHEV design, that it can't charge while main battery is in use...?

I though I saw on another thread that if you pre-heat long enough that it ends (30mins?), and the car goes back to sleep, then it will begin charging to top off the battery again.

For the OP's original question, I've heard others mention to make sure the car clock and timezone is set correctly, which can throw things off...?

I noticed the same thing when using the app climate start -- my ev range decreased even though it was plugged in. Back to my original post my climate control timer issue is still unresolved. I took the car to my dealership and they were unable to get it to work. They are supposed to get in touch with Mitsubishi to find a solution.

I also noticed that using the app to start warming the car, the EV range decreased even though it was plugged in On my level 2 charger, not drawing power from the charger right away but from the battery. However, after about 15 min, the car starts to charge again to top up the battery, which it never has time to do since I have to go to work. But the car is warm and confortable
