Between the two Outlander wins hands down. With the seats up the Kia has a bigger cargo space, but with the seats folded the Outlander has much more cargo room. I teat drove the Niro and it was tinny and noisy compared to the Outlander. I've also owned many Mitsubishi Outlanders and have hot more than 250,000 miles on them with no major repairs ever needed. So reliability is key. BUT something I learned after buying my 2022 Outlander is that the car starter is terrible. It's Phone App only and the thing never connects to the Mitsubishi server and takes forever to start the car (if it works at all). This is not an internet connection quality thing, it is the connection to he server the app uses. I am not sure how the Niro compares in that regard.
