This morning I got out of my 2023 PHEV to help my kids get out and I left the ignition in "ON" mode. One of my kids then hit the button on the door handle and all the doors locked (I have selective lock turned off). I took the FOB out of my pocket but it would not unlock the car! Fortunately another one of my kids was able to unlock it from the inside. When I got to work I tested it again and I had the same problem; I was locked out with the car on and the only way I could get back in was to pull the key out of the FOB and use it in the driver's side door. I've seen some posts about people complaining about the FOB lock function not working when the car is running and it is a shame that doesn't work but I'm actually having the opposite problem! I couldn't find anything about this in the manual; is it supposed to be this way or is there something wrong with the car or FOB?

I had a different circumstance but similar result on my 2022 Outlander SE. I started the car and moved it up a couple feet. I have it set to auto lock when placed in gear so all the doors locked. I got out of the car with it running in park. I went to the passenger side to open the door (which was locked) and I couldn't open it with the fob. I didn't use the key to open it. I went back to the driver's door and unlocked the car with the button on the door. So yes, the key fob will not unlock the car. I tried the buttons on the outside of the passenger handle also. Those don't work either.
