New 2023 Phev owner from south Florida

Just purchased our New Phev and glad to join the forum! It’s our 2nd Mitsubishi (1987 Starion turbo). So much of a fun learning curve with this car. So many modes to experience and try. It’s actually a bit overwhelming. I charge at night for 6 hours every day and usually end up 80% charged or so. Is it better to charge to this range, like recommended for ev’s, or to go to 100%? For driving around town locally, normal mode vs eco mode on the gear selector? Appreciate any help with my ride.

Welcome! Generally, charging to 60-80% is recommended if you don't need the full battery on your next drive.
Hasenphever, Thank you for your information. If you were going to take long highway drive(70-75mph driving speed), what settings would you recommend for maximum range?
Depends on your destination. Generally, Save is good for the highway so that you have maximum battery at your destination if more urban/stop 'n go driving and the vehicle then tries to run in parallel hybrid mode, which is more efficient than Series mode. But if your destination will not have a lot of city driving, then it also makes sense to use your battery on the highway and then charge overnight at your destination, assuming you have access to a charger or at least a 110v outlet. You can also do a combo of Normal or EV on the highway then when you get to a battery level you want to use for your destination, switch to Save.

Is it of any benefit to use eco mode on a highway drive?
Not really. Eco mode just delays throttle response and HVAC output.
That’s right. Eco on highway takes away responsiveness, and ride that tarmac provides. Power is great for passing large trucks on the highway the vehicle is actually wonderful on the highway. Stable and quiet.

Is there any benefit from using the B5 mode to regenerate or pressing the button next to the EV button so you have D drive and 1 pedal?
Not on the highway.

The best place to use regen including OnePedal is in the city. The more stop 'n go, the higher you want your regen. InnovativePedal is the highest and is like B7 or B8 in comparison to the paddle shifters. Look up another thread on the InnovativePedal where the mechanical brakes are used.

Generally, you don't want that on the highway to maximize fuel efficiency. Sometimes you may want to select B1 or B0 to maximize coasting, which is the best for fuel/energy efficiency.
