Looks great! Congratulations. I've been looking at the Outlander a bit. I'm curious, what other vehicles were you considering and what tipped it to the Mitsubishi for you?
We, more like I, looked at the RAV 4 Phev, Kia EV6, Hyundai Ioniq5, Volvo Phev, etc. What we really liked about the Outlander was the 38 mile range (my wife's office is 33 miles away-and has free level 2 charging ), the styling and most importantly, the SWAC. My wife loves it (it's her car). I love it too, but the type of work I do requires lots of driving to multiple locations. She goes to one place and then comes back home.Looks great! Congratulations. Thank you. I think we picked it up on April 7th. So far, the only dislike is the long time to charge. The included charger takes a long time, almost 14 hours to charge when the range is less than 9 miles. We took care of that yesterday though. We had a 240V/50 AMP line installed yesterday along with a Lectron 32A level 2 charging station-I know that is probably overkill, but better to use a charger that is not getting maxed out. That thing is great. It now takes between 4 and 6 hours to fully charge. On the likes, we like the massaging seats, panoramic roof, SWAC, Bose sound. etc. Mitsubishi knocked it out of the park on this one and I'm a Honda guy. I've owned 4 Ridgelines, 3 Accords, 1 Pilot. Honda's electronics can't touch this by a mile.Welcome to the forum @brentjs121. Congrats on the Outlander! What do you like/dislike about it so far? Has range been decent since you took delivery?
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the 3rd row. That thing is a JOKE, LOLWelcome to the forum @brentjs121. Congrats on the Outlander! What do you like/dislike about it so far? Has range been decent since you took delivery?
You're absolutely right on about the current readings. It was 14.3 amps for the most part.Good stuff thanks for sharing. I think the onboard PHEV charger maxes out around 3.3 or 3.6kwh, so that is an EVSE that is 16A on 240V. But good to have an EVSE to future-proof yourself!
