The Mitsubishi Outlander beat the Nissan Pathfinder in many key categories. Its not too surprising due to poor gas mileage, lack of infotainment tech features, and an overall package that looks and feels years older than it actually is. Considering that, the Outlander is a great option!

If anyone is undecided between the two, this comparison goes into more detail:

"Comparison Review
Comfort
Passengers in the backseat will be able to stretch out a lot more in the Nissan Pathfinder than in the Mitsubishi Outlander, due to its greater head- and legroom. The Nissan Pathfinder will be a hit with tall drivers and their front seat passengers, since it has greater front head- and legroom than the Mitsubishi Outlander.

Convenience
You'll be making about the same number of stops at the gas station with the Mitsubishi Outlander as you will with the Nissan Pathfinder, as they are both able to travel similar distances on a tank of gas.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). Clearly, the Mitsubishi Outlander is a better financial choice over the Nissan Pathfinder, when considering MSRP. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. The Mitsubishi Outlander will cost more in terms of transportation costs than the Nissan Pathfinder.

Dimensions
Since the Mitsubishi Outlander is much slimmer than the Nissan Pathfinder, it'll be much easier to find a wide enough space in a crowded parking lot. If you go with the Mitsubishi Outlander, you'll have a much easier time finding a large enough space to park than you will with the Nissan Pathfinder.

Drivetrain
The Mitsubishi Outlander has much lower torque than the Nissan Pathfinder, which generally means that it won't feel as fast or powerful.

Handling
The Mitsubishi Outlander has a significantly smaller turning radius than the Nissan Pathfinder, allowing you to much more easily maneuver in and out of tight spots.

Performance
In terms of towing capacity, the Nissan Pathfinder is clearly the choice over the Mitsubishi Outlander for pulling heavy loads. When it comes to horsepower, the Mitsubishi Outlander has a lot less horsepower than the Nissan Pathfinder.

Utility
In terms of seating, you'll be able to fit about the same number of people in both the Mitsubishi Outlander and the Nissan Pathfinder. The Mitsubishi Outlander has significantly less cargo capacity than the Nissan Pathfinder.

Warranty
You'll have greater peace of mind with the more generous basic warranty of the Mitsubishi Outlander than that of the Nissan Pathfinder."
