prevent automatic seat positioning

Is there a way to completely prevent the driver's seat from moving on it's own? I've disabled the F.A.S.T. key profile and turned off the exit setting but from what I've read in the manual the driver's seat will always return to the last position it was in when the car was last turned on. The problem is that if I position the seat forward, put my infant car seat in the row behind it and then start the car the seat goes back and crushes into the infant seat. I can get around this if I remember to start the car before moving the seat forward but since the seat is usually all the way back that means I have to put my infant down on the ground and get in the vehicle to start it before positioning which obviously isn't ideal. It doesn't seem to matter if use the positioning controls or the presets. What I'd really like to do is just completely disable all automated movement of the seat.

yes indeed, you can disable this in the setting mode in the multi-information display. Look in section Instruments and Controls, page 4-29 and 4-30, you have to switch off the Exit Seat Slide (Driver) option in vehicle settings. When this item is turned on, this feature will move the driver’s seat backward for an easy exit when the power switch is turned off and the driver’s door is opened. Just turn it off.

As I mentioned I have the exit setting turned off. Also the movement for me is most problematic when turning the car on. I called Mitsubishi and they understood the issue and will hopefully find a way to fix it.
