Make sure it’s the right maintenance schedule for how you drive, and even if it’s below the threshold it’s not a bad idea to check the belt for cracking/fraying/etc.

If you don’t have any of that you can leave it alone.

It seems general for all Mitsubishi cars produces that year but even for the severe schedule 1, the belt change time is 10 years. I read that this is a kevlar belt that should no crack easily. Are you aware if this is the correct manual. For some of the older outlander (e.g produced 2012) it is indeed 84 months.

 

The manual you posted only shows 105k miles as the interval, no time component.

I don't see a specific 2017 outlander maintenance manual anywhere, so I'd assume the one you posted is fine.

 

Funny thing is that all shops nerbay including the official dealer refused to check belt condition even though in the service manual it is mention this to be done every 2 years. I might try to do it alone but I saw that removing the belt cover is bit that easy job.
